How can I get a listing of just the species?

Although there is no function in Wildcatt for getting just a species listing, you can still do this from the Find Progeny part of Wildcatt.

  1. On the Find Progeny screen, turn case sensitivity on and find the word 'species' in the hybrid list. Select it. Some erroneous information will be displayed--don't worry about that.

  2. Enter 1 into the Find ___ generations field (you only want the first generation) and press the 'Start Progeny Search' button. A listing of species will be generated. The listing will contain erroneous parentage information (Wildcatt was not set up for this search, and species do not have parents) but if you save this list to a text file you can edit out this information fairly rapidly using some of the advanced find and replace features of most word processors.
